WHAT IF 0.1 ? DE GROTE POST
Gezien took on the challenge for sport to develop a rebranding for De GrotePost, the cultural center and event location in Ostend. The logo is a stylized image of the post office. The historic building – a design by Gaston Eysselinck – became a protected monument on September 22, 1981.
We started from the architectural lines and shapes that we worked out in a minimalist way. The shapes of the symbol are geometric and razor-sharp. We then looked for a font that provided contrast to give the whole thing a captivating, interesting tension. And what could be more complementary than the nice round O’s in the word “great” and “post”?
